4/3/2020
Friends, during this uncertain time, we understand that life is tough everywhere now. But if you feel led to give even $20, it WILL be sent directly to Pastor Brisenault to be used directly for community relief, food for the girls at House of Joy or to supply medical equipment to those in need.
Pastor has been keeping close tabs on the girls to be certain of no illness setting in. 20+ little girls plus staff in close quarters could make for a hot bed of outbreak should a virus be allowed in. Currently, they are being taught social distancing as much as possible, daily prayer/bible study and hygiene/thorough cleaning of their living quarters. These are all significant practices to learn for their future, but in the uncertainty that we all face right now, our Haitian friends have compounded issues because they've started at a personal level not up to the same par as in the US.
Pantries are not already full, medical assistance is not on every corner and transportation is at the pace that you are able to walk. Food banks, donations of good from others, medical supply chains are non-existent. Missionary teams are asked to NOT visit, and with complete understanding. To have someone swoop in with good intentions but leave a virus behind could be devastating!

Although the Zanmi Mission Team opted to not host the annual fundraiser for 2020, it was done so, in all transparency, prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Mounts' have been working two jobs to assist on the local STL church's building campaign while simultaneously becoming personally debt-free by year end 2021 The intention is to DO more, GIVE more and GO more.
Our hearts have not left Haiti for one second. In fact, our giving to what God has laid on our hearts has increased, to our STL church and to the Haiti mission during this process, even amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.
How is that possible? ONLY through God's great grace and mercy shown to us! We share this not to boast, but to encourage you to trust God with what may seem to be most important. He will sustain us, guide us and keep us during this crisis. What we have is ours only for a short time and it's meant to be shared.

We would like to thank the generous support group that is still sending funds to assist our friends in Haiti. Your trust in us as conduits of your blessings to them is so meaningful. We cannot thank you enough.

~Steve & Lori Mounts

**Kudos to those men pictured above! Our hearts are FULL seeing them contribute to their community!***Phasing out litter and trash infestation and embracing clean streets!

By donating to Zanmi Mission Project you are helping us to build up communities in Haiti, beginning with the local church and school.
Educating children,  providing a place to worship and caring for orphans. You are providing daily wages to hard-working men and women, supporting their own communities, one family at a time. Through hand-pump repair, you are bringing clean water to villages that desperately need it.
Funding projects that lead to a "domino-type effect" is what Zanmi is all about! Thank you for your generosity!

4/3/20:
During the COVID-19 outbreak, we are sending funds to Haiti for food and medical supplies only. The last funds sent a few months ago did go to repair a much needed water hand pump, but at this time, we do not want to encourage gatherings of any type. We will send funds for ONLY resources needed at the HOJ, the church and school, Pastor B. will oversee community outreach as needed.

Donations are not only accepted, but are essential for implementation of meeting needs for projects.

We are grateful to assist hard-working friends as they repair community water hand-pumps all over Haiti!
These pumps are the main source of water for hundreds of people; if they are not functioning properly, people walk miles for basic water supply carried in 5-gallon buckets.
Prayers are asked for church leaders to point us toward people with a dream, a vision to become self-sufficient and desire to pay it forward.
The efforts spent in country are directed by church & community leaders as to what endeavors will be most impactful.

Please be specific when supporting an area of interest, as we hope to administer what's been placed on your heart while meeting needs in Haiti.
